Hot start problems

Hi everyone,

I know this has been done a million times before, but hoping someone could help me out. I'm not very mechanical but do like to have a go if it's nothing too complicated.

Anyway... 2004 d4d with 110k on the clock. I only bought her in Jan (my last rav being written off).

FSH and last full service done in march 2020.

Runs ok normally, bit of a turbo lag but I can live with that.

Usual once the engine is at temp it won't start again. It can take 20-30 mins to start. Sometimes it sounds like the Battery is weary and sometimes it tries to turn over, the car can judder but still nothing.

I'm a carer so when I'm in work it can be shorter trips (10-15min between clients) but it also gets a good run out on the motorway.

Scv valves were done within the last couple of years. I had a new Battery (630amp) and starter (1.4kw) done earlier this year. To be honest, when the new start was fitted it sounded weaker and has gotten worse.

I've cleaned all the connections from Battery to chassis.

Just don't know which way to turn to try and sort it out.

Great cars but I need a car that works

thanks
