2010 Hybrid - possible to replace headunit for Carplay?

I have an Hybrid auris t-spirit with the satnav head unit.

The only real annoyance that I have with this car is the head unit and I REALLY want to replace it with someting that has Apple carplay.

I am really struggling to find any kits that WILL actually fit or work... all my searches return chinese headunits that say YUP this will 100% fit ... and the adapaters and leads are clearly different.

I have replaced head units before and know that you need adapters and harnesses etc but I am struggling to even find any images of anyone that has replaced their head unit.

Ideally I would want to keep the steering controls, it also has a reverse camera but its not the end of the world if I could no longer use this.

Does ANYONE have a replacement headunit in their auris? I'm at a loss really at this point, normally a search returns pack in kits etc with head unit and cables all bundled but I think its too big of a gamble to buy a £300 headunit from china which will likely need to be returned soon after at my cost.

I have just helped another member with one of these "direct fit" units and that required additional adapters and rewiring

Instructions and technical support are non existant for these chinese Head units

Personally i would go with an Alpine or Pioneer head unit, what start around £300 the around another £50-80 for a fascia, steering wheel controls and camera retention adapter

What sat nav do you currently have ? There are 4 different wiring configurations

its the same head unit as the top image in this post :

I'd be very happy with a pioneer / alpine or company that you've heard of! Just seen so many posts that are basically saying NOPE especially not on the hybrid for some reason, but perhaps its just that this is less popular?

I wouldn't be adverse to spending about £500 if it had steering controls, carplay and I could still use my car's bluetooth for calls etc.

That's the B9005, so it uses the less common 20 pin connector this requires a small amount of re pining to get the rear camera to function

Pioneer SPH-DA1600DAB or DA2600DAB

Fascia - £15-35 depending on colour and if you need a cage (you can usually reuse the factory brackets tho)

Audio controls - £15-40

Cam retention adapter £20-30 (CAM-TY1-RT)

Aerial adapter

Connects 2 offer various fitting kits that include the above accessories, the 3 main colours are black, silver and metal grey
