Email notifications on car stereo

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and wanted to ask a question about my car stereo. I own a 2016 Rav4. I have my Android cellphone connected to the stereo and it plays music and notifies me when a text arrives. Up until recently it notified me when I had email too. However, 3 months ago I stopped using the native email app on my Samsung Note 8 in favour of Microsoft Outlook (basically the Samsung email app was not synchronising my emails). MS Outlook app is set as my default email. I have wiped the car stereo and reinstalled my phone on the stereo and yet the stereo still looks for the Samsung email app and not outlook.

I just wanted to know if anyone has had similar problems - I did try searching for a similar problem on this forum but found nothing. Any suggestions on whether I can get the stereo to synch with MS Outlook, or do I have to find another email app which the Toyota car stereo will work with?
