Deter cat theft by parking over something?

Has anyone got any experience of or views about deterring cat theft by parking over something which makes it difficult or impossible for a thief to get at the cat? E.g. a pile of two or three paving stones? A wooden pallet? A fakir's bed?

I'm thinking of buying a second-hand Toyota Prius PHEV. I live in London in an area with a lot of cat theft and I would be parking off-street in our drive near a charging wall-box, a location which is not very visible from the street. Thus the risk of cat theft is great enough to be a deal-breaker. I can have a Catloc and car alarm fitted and install a security camera, but that might not be enough deterrence.

Seamus if parking over obstructions as mentioned you would have to ensure accuracy in parking and accuracy in height of obstructions and immobility of car and objects underneath. But it’s an idea 💡

There are 3 points of blocking the underside of the car to prevent thieves from jacking up: front , left and right. Only rear of the car is safe to leave exposed, if you park close to the kerb above something on the front and opposite side?! That seems difficult and stressful to do, since  you may damage something on the car doing this manoeuvre. De Badge, cat lock and pray for luck. 👍

Tony, you give me an idea.  In this situation he is talking of off road parking. Create a parallel kerb or even U shape thus creating a parking dock. Or a pair of channels like a car lift.

If you can park accurately in a garage then you should manage this.
