Yaris Launch Edition - No Parking Sensors, No More Red Stitched Seats?

May be on a bit of a rant here so apologies , So I've got an order in for a yaris launch edition but im worried it will no longer have the red stitching , as on the site builder the interior just shows the same seats you get with a dynamic, and the online brochure says it comes with the same seats as the dynamic , where as the previous brochure it specifically mentioned the red stitched sport seats for the launch edition. 

 

May sound like im being a pit picky, but this was one of the reasons I ordered one and was something that made spending more on the launch edition make it a feel a little more special. As its now your just paying for a Dynamic Yaris, but swapping the Safety Sense sensors for a HUD and some blue ambient lighting with less Colour choices. If Im honest I prefer the Dynamic two tone options than the Launch Edition one , but I've not seen the Tokyo Fusion in person and maybe it doesn't look so pink that and the waiting time for a dynamic is a lot longer right now. 

Don't know what Toyota UK are thinking right now with the Yaris feels like they don't care about it, look at a Review of European models and they have Heated Seats and wheel, in built sat nav so u can use it with the HUD, wireless charging, red trim on the dashboard etc.  I can only assume its just to keep the price down maybe because of Brexit or for whatever other reason.

Anyway I'm still really excited to get the Yaris as its my first new car and I decided to go with Toyota as i like the direction and design Akio Toyoda is taking the brand, with exciting cars like the GR Yaris and GR86 , and whatever BEV cars they bring out in a couple years.

It is down to each importer to decide on what specs they offer within their market area and what features their specs have. Also with any importer, they can make changes to specifications without notice - there is usually a disclaimer within brochures to this effect.

Contact Toyota GB and raise the queries with them directly. If the spec has been revised, and is no longer what you want, you may be able to change your order with the dealer.

it looks like they have white stitching, its more than likely they are phasing out the Launch edition as the Gen 4 is coming up to 1 year old

 

edit. Just looked at the July price list

Launch edition - "Black Fabric and Synthetic Leather with Red Stitching Sports Seats" also "ADDITIONAL TO DYNAMIC"

some of it is clear as mud as the "city pack" is an option on the dynamic but not the Launch but the Excel has parking sensors as standard

The Excel and Launch have "Rear Cross Traffic Alert with automatic braking (RCTAB)"

Thanks for the help flash, didn't know launch edition came with RCTA thought it needed the intelligent sonar for that to work which it doesn't have, it uses something called a BSM radar which is above the rear bumper. 

 

The July pricelist you linked does still mention the red stiching unless the August pricelist has not been released yet. And I guess after September the launch edition may be phased out?

Yeah I complained to Toyota GB about their bizarre decisions. If my hand hadn't been forced, I'd still be waiting for them to let me have the Design spec with the City and Tech packs!

I'm so jealous of the Japanese ones! They're narrower externally (But internally the same), and have things like auto-parking, a 360 degree camera, even eAWD and a real handbrake!!
