Car dead and showing gearbox warning light on dash

Hi all

Twice over the past two years I have come to start the Aygo, the ignition lights come on but when I turn the key nothing happens.  All the lights eventually go out on the dashboard except the 'gearbox' symbol.  If I leave it 10 mins it then starts and all the lights go out.

Any ideas please??

Get the fault codes read, MMT i take it - it may be the case the computer gets confused and doesn't think it's in neutral, or you turned the car off before the computer did its bit last time you drove
