Did Toyota bring out an updated Yaris 20.5 on the 1st of July along with a quarter price increase?

It's called the Mk4 first orders were in July 2020 iirc, the car is a completely different to the MK3 - The Mk4 Yaris is hybrid only hence the price difference

Sorry I have not explained it very well.

I'm being told by me main dealer that there is an updated version of the new Yaris 20.5 along with a quarterly price increase.

Is this correct?

Don't know where he gets the "Yaris 20.5" from but that is NOT correct...

Do you mean a new 2021 model ? The only Toyota that uses a half year is the rav4, unless they are calling Mk4 new yaris the 2020.5, they may also be referring to the launch edition Model

Only thing I can think of is this month they are offering a £500 discount (IMHO it is a non discount)

They say its a quarterly price increase of £480 because it's an updated version of the new MK4 Yaris.

I have asked them to price match Carwow and they say they will but I have been quoted on an old version of the MK4 and a new version came out on the 1st of July.

I'm a bit suspicious because you can configure a Yaris on the Toyota website and there is no mention of a new updated version.

Also this would be a factory order because I want some packs adding.

So if I factory order now I will have to pay the £480 increase they have quoted.

Depends on what you order, if it is in stock or in transit you may still get the early spec Yaris, if you order something else it may come from the new build only your dealer can tell.

Does that mean that owners of LE1 will also have those remote services available via MyT app as well or is it restricted to the LT2 run?

Regards

I believe I'm right in saying that the eCall system (part of which faciltates the MyT service) is an E marked requirement now for all cars sold in the European market(?). Not just Toyotas...

Compulsory for new car models

If you buy a new model of car, approved for manufacture after 31 March 2018, it must have the 112-based eCall system installed. This rule applies both to cars with no more than 8 seats and light commercial vehicles. If you have a car which is already registered, you are not obliged to retrofit an eCall device but you can have it installed if your car meets the technical requirements.

Check out this page...

Cars with new Type Approval from April 2018 will be required to have eCall.
