Oh that's good to know - so you've managed to start a Prius or Auris hybrid with it?

Yes, it doesnt take much to start a Toyota hybrid. These Battery banks can start petrol engines and diesels, the latter require a lot of power for the starte motor to turn the high compression of a diesel engine.  Usually after I connected the Battery pack across the terminals and get back to the car seat and press the Power button its off and away.  I recomend the next purchase be a CTEX 5 Battery charger, £66 from Tayna, keeps AGM batteries (in boot battery) and standard batteries under the bonnet up to scratch. Charges very slowly which is what modern day batteries require.

Edit - forget about the CTEX 5 cgarger, I see you have another model of CTEX

next time you have a car boot stall get a screwdriver or

a round bar and move the locking latch in the boot door

lock to the locked position, you'll see the boot light go out

then to unlock the latch so you can close the door

just press the button on the tailgate as normal.

Thanks for that - great tip.

Toyota phoned yesterday to say that the Battery was now in stock. They've also confirmed that they will honour the quoted price of £200 including fitting.
