Finally collected my Yaris this morning and took it for a run out. First new car that I’ve ever bought and loving it 😀. Lots for me to learn on it so sure I’ll be asking some questions at some point. Hope it’s not too much longer for those waiting. Small consolation at the moment but imo it is definitely worth the wait! 👍

Really pleased for you, mine arrived yesterday so hopefully it won't be very long til I get mine. Think I saw it parked up today and if I did it looked lovely

Thank you - dealer took delivery on Wednesday and I could have collected it yesterday if I wasn’t working so think you will have it very soon! Lots to learn on it - I went for both of the dashcams so will be exploring those tomorrow!

I ordered my Yaris Design in scarlet flare in June with an expected delivery date of January ‘23. The map appeared on the 25th October and from comments I’ve read here, it looks like it’s taking around 4 weeks in most cases before it changes to build in progress. I’m really hoping this means it’s on schedule but I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much.

I’ve been told my car will be delivered sometime in January (previously told December) they don’t have a date but may know more next month. The my T app is still showing processing but does show the map and locations greyed out

I’ve seen on other forums that you can do a ‘status dive’ using the developer window on a laptop. I’ve given it a go but don’t have the map on processing so no info for me. I’ve attached the screenshot of the instructions, I had to open developer (f12) before logging into my account.

Mine is the same too, not showing any ETA on the backend data

The information is not a constant.  You might check every day, suddenly the info is there.  A week later you return and it has gone again.

When you do find it be aware dates are in the DMY format as in my case the date was always less than 13 until the penultimate display which was 16-08-22.

Just been told this morning, after an 8 month wait, that car being built 🥳🥳 assume it will be 3-4 weeks before delivery?

Mine took nearly 5 weeks to get here and it arrived on Friday after a 7 and half month wait. I'm still waiting for the dealer to ring me so I can sort the next bits out

My wife's order, placed in March, originally estimated for September, had an update from the dealer last week. The latest estimate is January. It's still processing on MyT (no map locations yet). The concerning comment was that they are honouring the finance terms for anything delivered by 2nd Jan but they can't guarantee they can honour it for anything delivered afterwards (although they didn't say they definitely wouldn't either).

I would press them if they don't honour the original finance terms as many ppl have got or are getting their car this month or Dec similar order in march as you (depending on extras like pan roof/tech pack etc).

The zero interest term were very valuable. I missed out on this and tech pack with JBL before April this year. One day when these tech come back I will be wanting to upgrade my car.

It can vary as mine was showing the end of August with the maps and it never went into build til 25th September and then 27th it left the factory, it took til lastobdat for mine to go into transit and that was 4 and half weeks after being built

Hello all, I wonder if any of you have direct experience of the insurance discount that a dash-cam brings for your Yaris? I know it's commonly stated that there is a discount, but I'm curious to know what the reality is. Thanks in advance.

No discount for me, got front and back dashcams.

Some insurance companies view a hard wired dash cam as a modification - with the potential for an increased premium.

A lot will offer a discount but keep in mind that if you slip up, they’ll want to see it.

I've never gotten a discount for having a dashcam; When I've enquired, usually they only offer a discount for certain 'approved' dashcams, often only older model Nextbase ones.

I think more specialist ones like Adrian Flux might, but none of the bigger names seemed to unless it was on their list.

It's also worth declaring it just in case, but most I've asked don't seem to care, and the ones that did only cared if it was 'hardwired' in; If you just plugged it into the lighter or USB socket so it was easily removable they didn't care, but it varies by insurer.

Pleased to say yaris excel fully loaded order 4th Jan 2022 has arrived at the dealer along with 6 others. All the cars were NOT visible on the dealer tracker IT system. Surprises all round

Thanks Anchorman. I do keep hearing that, but nobody here has yet quantified an actual discount they have been given, so I'm suspecting that this is a bit of an urban myth. I don't doubt that discounts are available from some insurers, in some cases, but it would have been good to have some more concrete info.

Thanks again for the various responses!
