Had our 2021 C-HR 24 hours, very happy, and have got most things sorted and working fine other than a minor problem/issue  with Waze. I’ve got Apple Car Play sorted and can access Waze but the the orange button in the bottom left of Waze to report problems , roadworks , traffic jams etc won’t activate when I press the screen. Is it a settings issue or will this function not work on the Toyota system? I know it does work on current Fords as my son has a MK8 Fiesta and it works ok.

Any help much appreciated

The Waze orange button to report things works in my Toyota. I used it last Saturday to report standing traffic on M6 Birmingham.

All I can suggest is delete the Waze app and reload it.

It appears that when you go “Invisible” on Waze you can’t send any reports so the orange button is deactivated, I’ve changed my Waze settings to “Visible” and all is now ok 👍

Glad it was that easy to sort.

🤞 nothing wrong with Car Play , just my settings in Waze ☹️

So I gather if, in Waze, you report something you are identified. Consequently if you “hide” yourself you can’t report anything. Sounds reasonable to me.

I like Waze, but i have to report the same pothole every single day on my route home, it never remembers it.

I believe Waze has an inbuilt timer for user reported hazards , if another Wazer gives that hazard a thumbs up to confirm it is still there it will remain active and visible for longer. Unfortunately I’m not sure how long the time out actually is , but it’s hours rather than days.  I think utility companies can report long term road works which will stay on the system until a defined date or the company deletes them.
