Tethering

Is tethering possible? I can see the wi-fi menu on the car settings but there doesn’t seem to be an option for hotspots. If not possible, is there a way round this?

I mean to use my phone as a WiFi hotspot so that the car can connect to WiFi from my phone

This works on my 2020 Excel. I connect to Wi-Fi to download map updates then turn it off, because it seems to interfere with the bluetooth connection for the satnav online data (cameras and traffic etc). I do not know if you can use it as a hotspot to allow othe devices to connect to share data.

If you enable hotspot on your mobile device you should be able to connect to it under the WiFi settings menu

I have done this but nothing seems to happen. Could be on option that you have included with your model but not in mine☹️
