Thank you for the replies, I feel I'm getting close to the problem, in particular can anybody tell me where this hose should connect to, it comes from the Air Intake Manifold?

Idling problems are very often caused by vacuum leak, followed by idler sensors or dirty throtle body.

  • 9 months later...

Found the small leak on the 1.2T ..

Its on the intake duct after the maf near the high pressure fuel pump and goes to the intake of turbo charger, pre turbo pressure...

There is A small presence of Oil indicating leaky duct..

It's normal in all cars that use a turbo, it has to do with engine oil vapors

Its not normal to leak out side of a sealed intake tube....

Oil is normal due to Oil vapors, but Oil should not escape outside of the tube, ...

This indicates a leak on the tube with the turbo housing intake side of turbo

If it is an air leak, surely the MAF sensor reading would vary? Have you monitored the readings?

Mines is a 1.2t cvt and idles steady at 700rpm when warmed up and in neutral, with no apparent issues (2016@28k).

Let me know if you need any readings from techstream. I will also try and take some endoscope photos of my turbo intake, for signs of any oily dust.

Keep us updated.

Yes mine is reading when warmed up

1.1 to 1.2

Quiet low service manual states 1.4 to 1.8G/s if i remember corectly

Mine only on idle fluctuates and map sensor pressure same....

On idle my LGTF STFT Are +5 to +7 percent both...

If i give 1500 rpm 0 percent perfect..

If i put load a/c on drops to 1 percent both almost perfect
