Plugin prius gen2 snd 43kW rapid chargers

While the PIP has a type 2 connector, it can only charge at 3.6kW.  I don't have trouble charging from 3.6kW, 7kW and 22kW charge points but the 43kW rapid chargers seem to be hit or miss with the PIP.  Some work and others fail to detect the car once plugged in.

Should all type 2 chargers work with the prius or are there differences between them?

Odd!

It doesn't really matter though as the PIP charge rate is restricted through software.

tbh I haven't needed to use an charger other than at home. I get good enough mpg on HV, and have often force charged on long downhill stretches.

I´ve just tried to charge our prius phv 2018 gen 2 at rapid charger (at Lidl store) twice and it worked out well.

No problem

As far as I know  Prius plug in chargers with same speed no matter what power charger is connected. 👍

Yes. Plugin gen2 is 16A max (3.5kW) and my usual EV chargers (up to 22kW) are happy to do that. I have started to try 43kW chargers and some fail to acknowledge that they are plugged into the car.  I wondered if 16A was maybe too low for some of them?
