Auris E18 CVT oil change

Hi all,

My Auris is about to hit the 180.000km and i am wondering if the CVT oil needs replacement. it never happend before.

I heared someone say that it isnt a easy job just oil out and filling it back up, but you also need to change a filter inside the transmission. or maybe flussing the whole transmission.

Any suggestions about the type of oil? I have found Aisin CVT oil but there is also Crown Oil SP Matic 4016

And does someone know if this is a job that i can perform on my own. or i my own garage.

Auris 2017 E18 NRE185L   1.2T

I hope to hear from you

Thanks in advance!

Wt that mileage if it has never been replaced.

It is definitely time to change it. I am not that familiar with that gearbox, maybe someone will pop in shortly to advise further.

I did replace my transmission oil in my own car and it was not that difficult.

Car: 2011 Auris 1.3vvti manual.

Replacement of CVT oil on the 1.2 T requires special tools to bleed the transmission and pump plus access to a suitable diagnostic laptop to measure & input fluid temperatures and reset thermal degradation info in the transmission control unit
