I was reluctant to start a separate thread to ask, @anchorman, ….. I imagine you’ve had quite a bit of snow up there In Derbyshire so, how is it ‘coping’ ?

Does AWD engage in reverse ?

To be honest I’m away working and my mrs won’t go out in the snow so it’s in the garage with the remote CTEK charging arrangement I’ve been discussing.  I can control it off my phone and see what power it’s drawing.  I’ll give a full report the first time it goes out in the snow.

I have just received an amended estimate for delivery of Yaris Cross to June 2023. I originally ordered a model in Feb '22 which was cancelled in September as no longer being produced. So I reordered a different model of Yaris Cross at same interest rate of PCP + offer on exchange of a Corolla. My delivery date at this time was March '23.

So the delivery of a final Yaris Cross would have been estimated as being 16months after my original order.

This is totally unacceptable to me and extremely poor service from Toyota. I have now cancelled my order and will keep the Corolla and maybe go to another marque dealership.

Very unhappy customer.

As the Club is independent, Toyota won't see this. You need to feedback to Toyota GB.

The long lead times seem to be common across the industry at the moment; We're in a time of unprecedented supply chain disruption.

To get something faster you'd either need to pick a less popular vehicle (Demand for the Yaris is extremely high which compounds the delays) or pay the gouged up 'used' prices.

Just be glad you're not after a GR Yaris or GR86!!!

Same here Clive! Ordered May cancelled October had me re order then told Jan nothing happening so I emailed Toyota GB and was told another 6 months! So called dealer who said now March build maybe but won’t get until May due to logistics

I’ve emailed my cancellation letter today!

What a farce. Not the dealer’s fault.

sorry all it’s my last post and I wish you all the best!

Like many people posting on the forum, I ordered and subsequently cancelled my new car order due to the 'how long is a piece of string' delivery dates, which initially was a huge disappointment.  However, I needed to change my car, so I decided to bite the bullet and look at used models, and with a bit of research over a few weeks, found a Yaris Cross that was actually an acceptable price.  3 months old dealer demonstrator, <3k miles and a few extras thrown in for roughly the price of new, which I know goes against the grain, but....I factored in the extra I would spend on fuel in my old car whilst I waited for heaven knows how long for a new order to actually arrive, and the depreciation on my old car, and I think I've actually come out OK.  I think it's a case these days of what you are prepared to accept as a compromise if you really want, or need to get a new(ish) car.

Hmmm, not looking good for mine then, dealer told me April, in fairness, they didn’t say which April 🤔

Hi everyone, I ordered the design spec Yaris Cross in Nov 22 and was given April 23 as an estimate. To my surprise I got an email to state it's been  ordered, built and transported to Belgium. How long does it take for it to get to the UK.? I have tracked the sea cruiser 2, my latest update was on 18th Jan. Is it realistic to expect it by end of next week?

From what people are saying it's probably going to take a month for it to be ready for collection at the dealer.

It takes the ship a couple of days to get to one end and then load or unload.  Mine didn’t get on the first ship but it did get on the second.  I guess it depends what’s waiting on the dock.

I’d be concerned about that.  Have you looked at detailed tracker?

You're joking ....  I check the tracker twice a day !

Why would you be concerned?

I suppose Christmas holidays have made logistics worse.

It seems a long time.   Mine was there about a week which equated to two ship journeys so why does yours keep missing a boat.  The detailed tracker has damage codes in it that would be nice to see at zero.

You need a windows computer or a Mac with Firefox.

Have a Mac but do not understand Why the App works better with Firefox ?

The problem is we've returned to the Bad Old Days of the web, where you HAD to use a specific web browser for most websites to work properly.

Back then it was Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer and anything else wouldn't render half the sites on the web properly.

Now it's Firefox or Chrome.

Sadly, Safari, the built-in Mac browser, comes under the category of Other, so any site that is too reliant on javascript to render will struggle to work properly in it or any other browser.

If yo go to the Rav4 section and look in Rav4 Estimated Delivery, etc (it's currently on page one) there is an explanation of how to get the information, from memory it starts around page 10.

Because only windows (Firefox is windows based) allows you to use the web browser tools which you need to analyse the data.  Follow Roger’s guide above 👍

Probably nothing Bob.  At one time a lot of cars got damaged in transit and rest assured there’ll be a body shop somewhere along the delivery trail.  I’m sure it’s better these days.  However, yours seems fine thankfully.  Why else might it keep missing a boat?   Conspiracy theorists might suggest it won’t start or won’t move or it’s simply blocked in by other vehicles?

How do I access the the detailed tracker, I tried logging on a pc with Firefox, Edge, and chrome all I can see is my current car. Only the App allows me to see the purchase car tracking. Please could some show a screenshot for the detailed tracker

They've found four scratches in the paintwork.
