DPF Blocked

Hi, I have an auris 2014 1.4 diesel on 60k miles and the engine light has come on. The code is p2463 soot accumulation. It has been for a egr and manifold clean and forced regen and the light went but after 1week and 600 miles is now back. Has anyone had any similar issues and any advice on what to do as I don't really wanna get a new dpf

Thanks

Do you do a lot of short city trips, or drive mostly in the city?

I'd say mostly long distance with the occasional short journeys

You need to blow out the car from time to time, otherwise it would not do a force regen.

Try a 20 minute drive when you have the time, in higher rpm's, and see if the issue comes back.

You doing longer journeys - thats good, but you need to drive sprightly during those journeys. As Dean above says, let it run up to higher revs before changing gears will help and if you have 6 gears keeping it in 5th, which will be higher revs, may help.  Its all about clearing the exhaust system cleaner. DPF is a pain when this problem strikes.

It may not be entering the regen cycle -

Warm engine 3rd gear at around 40-60 mph for 5 mins, if it's clogged it will belch smoke

you may have an issue with the pressure differential sensor(s)

there are 2 different systems, the 1.4 d4d uses depending on the year
