Hi all.

I've had my Corolla from new for a few months now.

It has started to develop a knocking in the rear when I pull off and break.

I have sorted all other rattles and squeaks etc in the attempt to cure this problem but cannot get to the bottom of this problem.

It sounds like a mechanical knock that is the only way I can explain it.

I took it into Toyota for a check up they said that they could not find the problem but will investigate further with Toyota.

If there is anyone out there that has had the same experience with Corollas please let me know how to fix this problem as it is beginning to get annoying.

Hi, ive got the older AE111 Corolla and had a wee knock coming from the rear suspension too. I had been fiddling with the suspension previously so checked it out again, the small link bars were a little loose so I had to tighten them up, this solved the problem. However the parts may have somehow worn and need replacing if this is the problem.

But Toyota should have picked up on this if it is the problem!?

Sorry if it just all sounds like a load of rubbish!!

could also be the rear anti roll bar bushes..they might be perished
