Blind spot monitor malfunction.

Had a blind spot monitor malfunction warning come up on the display this morning. Warning said consult your dealer. Went shopping but on our return journey home I got the same warning. Consulted the dealer who said it could be a sensor and I could arrange for it it to be sorted next week, This afternoon went for a short journey and no fault at all showed up and the blind spot monitor was working just fine. I shall be checking it again tomorrow. Any ideas what would cause this " temporary" fault?

Hi, if anything that can be obstructing the sensor and made it unable to read and send information to the computer, dirt , dust or water?  Here it’s a video that might be helpful for you. 👍

Thanks Tony. That was very helpful. I checked the car yesterday for any damage. The car was clean but I did run a duster over the sensors. Will be going out in it soon so I hope it will not give the warning.
