Rav4.2 - Tailgate lower plastic panel removal.

Hi,

Noticed on my recently purchased 2005 rav4 5 door that the plastic panel on lower section of tailgate door was rattling one side.  Noted it looks like a plastic post had come away when having a look behind it.

Decided to remove it to reattach the post, bought new clips - but on removing every post came away from the panel and the plastic clips stayed put!!   Does this normally happen, or is there a knack to getting it off without the posts coming off?  They appear to have been plastic welded by toyota originally from what I can tell.   Now trying to araldite the posts back on but not hedging my bets....  hate to think how much a new one from Mr T will cost, if available.   Might be cheaper to get a whole rear door 2nd hand.
