Help with Blue Smoke 2.2 D-CAT 2010

Hi All, just looking for some help.

Recently bought a Avensis 2010 model. 2.2 D-Cat. 122000 miles.

Its blowing blue smoke upon accelerating. At idle it's fine.

The car drives fine there is no lack of power. Just the blue smoke.

So its burning oil. Would this point towards the Turbo leaking oil?

Any ideas or help would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi hris, welcome to TOC.

Is it genuinely blue or more white? As you say blue would indicate burning oil, white would probably be the DPF trying to regenerate.

If it is burning oil then it's probably contaminating the DPNR (Toyota specific form of DPF).
