Driver door check strap problem

Hi, Is there a way to fix the front drivers door so it catches and doesn't swing all the out when opening?

3 door or 5 door?

We have a 3 door and it swings so wide open it's embarrassing 😳,  I doubt that there's any way to stop that though!
