toyota auris 2.2 D-cat problem.

Hello.

I have Toyota Auris 2.2 Diesel 2009.

I have a problem with ECU it has been Burnt out.

I can't clone information from this ECU to new in my country.

what can I do? have I any other way to solve the problem?

Hey!

I see you have a few options here, however these may vary depending on the country you are in.

1. Go to Toyota, see if they are able to replace the ECU and re-code it for you. This will likely be very expensive however.

2. See if you can find a modular/ aftermarket ECU which allows custom tuning and take it to a place which is competent in using these aftermarket ECUs.

3. Try and find another SR180 which is breaking and get their ECU, I'm unsure how "plug and play" they are though.

4. Sell/ scrap the car, I'd hate to see another SR180 be scrapped, however a fried ECU is an incredibly expensive repair, your insurance would almost certainly write off the car due to the cost.
