The terminals on my obd2 connector under the dash are #2, #4, #5, #9 and #16. Multiple obd2 new scanners will not communicate with the vehicle. No protocol that I've been able to find matches my vehicles pinout so I don't know which protocol it is supposed to be. I read probably J1850 VPW or ISO 9141. Neither pinouts match my connector. Tried the te to e1 jumper on the underhood diagnostic port but no CEL codes.

Thanks for help in identifying the proper protocol for this vehicle.

Cheers

did you ever get this issue resolved?

its very early obd2, you can purchase the adapters no issue, if it's a JDM car you may need a tool that can do JOBD, not all scan tools can read early cars

the typical Early Toyota OBD connector (22/23 pin)
