Hi all.

Has anyone used a mounting bracket rather than screws.on a 2019+ Rav?

I am putting my own plate on and it would be cool not to have to drill it.

Sorry the dealer fitted mine, have you thought of 3M tape. I’ve not used it myself but I’ve a couple of friends who have had good results?

Yes I did wonder about decent double-sided tape but I worried about damage when getting them off in a few years.

There are plenty of sticky stuff removers and as they come as a pads double sided that offsets the plate from the car, I’d assume to discourage rubbing of the plate on the body, then I think that the weak link is the pad. Once plate is teased off the glue can be removed. That’s essentially what I’ve done when I’ve use similar pads for other applications. I’ve also passed a thin wire behind the item and “sawed” the part off with no damage to the fixing surface. Hope that makes sense?

If you don’t fancy the sticky pad method you could always get a holder, available with or without logo or in chrome.

My wife’s Mercedes has one, front and rear from the dealer, looks good with her private plate.

I use a holder for mine, similar to "Rigsbry" It just screws to the holes already drilled by the Toyota  dealer, and then the number plate just slides in intact

Keep safe
