Need Help With Squeak In Rear End

I just found this site and signed up. Very happy to see a place like this.

I am restoring an 84 Toyota Pick-up. 2WD with 22R. It's coming along quite well, however, just last week the truck started to make a squeaking sound coming from the rear end. This only happens when the clutch is in about 1/2 way and moving slow in reverse. If I take my foot off the clutch it will stop. I didn't know the clutch had anything to do with the rear end. This coming weekend I am going to remove the back breaks for inspection and cleaning, could this be the area to look?

Any help would be great
