Driver seat piching my bum

 The driver seat pinches my bum just at the crease before the back rest. It has done this since I bought it. I had a cushion over the top of the seat but the cushion edge is rubbing the bolster of the seat visibly so I have had to remove this cushion again.  

Is this a normal thing to have it pinch like that.?

Surely this depends so much on the individual’s physique and the seat position. 
I'm sensitive to the driving seat cushioning and in other cars have bought a specialised seat cushion designed to relieve pressure on the coccyx, it’s made of memory foam and wedge shaped. As it’s a wedge it positions the hips slightly higher which improves the driving position. That said, so far I’ve not had to resort to that in the RAV. I do find the seat on the firm end of acceptable from my prospective.

Sorry this does not answer question directly but might give you ideas on how you could elevate the problem.

Seriously it might suggest that the seat squab is not as firm as it should be. 

Or it could be you with the orthomorphics not suited to your build.

Start off with a rolled up hand towel. If that’s too much roll up half (or whatever portion you like) and lay the rest out flat on the seat.  If you get a “roll” to suit you can sort out some thing more permanent ie colour match.

I used to have a massaging seat in the last car. How do I enable that? Is that an option in the MID or more of an infotainment thing? I can only assume my car is just not that interested in me. Like my wife.
