Apple CarPlay

I bought a Toyota Auto 2019 x-play and am trying to work the CarPlay feature. However, I'm struggling to get it to work, and I can't find the CarPlay options on the car. I do have the older looking display(see link below) without the Siri button, could this be the reason?

The two button multimedia unit as per your photo, doesn't have Apple Carplay or Android Auto.

That makes sense! I thought it shouldn’t take that much effort to set up CarPlay. Is there a cheap way to get navigation on the screen with the two button one I have?

Simple answer is no.

Easiest way is to search for the 3 button radio and fit that - it's a direct plug'n'play.
