2019 2.0L Corolla (E210) Exhaust back box bracket corrosion

Just checked mine and have noticed the bracket has started to rust . The car is around 2 1/2 years old now. Will need to keep an eye on it over winter and get it replaced at its next service in February.

Are the 1.8 TS also affected or it’s just for the 2.0 TS ? Just out of interest. For those who worry about will get worse and crack disconnected you can do some preventative treatments with wire brush, rust converters and then heat resistant black paint. At least it’s the rear one and easily accessible. 👍

Unless I'm blind, mine is perfectly rust free.

Sometimes, exhaust parts are batches issues. There are welding , dipping, and painting that are mot always the same.

It seems that my car also has the issue? It's 1.8 touring sport module 2020 from November. The car was undercarriage treated, since it was new.

Have someone got this sorted under warranty and how this issue will be fixed by toyota dealer?

This one looks ok to me. Surface corrosion it’s fine. Many more parts will develop this in early years but it will not go worse since then. The problem is when the brackets goes broken and exhaust can go down.
