Just had my windscreen replaced by Autoglass. No complaints about the service from Autoglass, but there appears to be an increase in wind noise.  My wife, whose hearing is better than mine, says it is coming from the bottom of the screen. From the outside the screen looks a perfect fit with no obvious turbulence generators apart from the wipers. The new screen is made by Fuyau and is marked Acoustic. I have also found that driving into the sun produces more glare, with the dash reflected in the screen. Do Toyota OEM screens have an anti-glare coating?

Anyone else had a windscreen change and noted any problems?

Yes on older Auris, replaced in Toyota garage but supplied and fitted by a third party company that didn’t sealed properly and there is a huge air blow bottom left corner near the dashboard, even when position your hand there it blows air from outside and the noise is so loud that feels like I am driving with passenger window half open. The glass is good but the workmanship was very poor.

I had a windscreen replaced by Autoglass on my old 2004 Avensis some years ago. All looked good untill it rained one day. I ended up with water under front passenger footwell carpet. Check for damp carpets when car gets wet just to be sure.

Wont go in to details but I've dealt with Autoglass twice in the past, never again.

Official complaint logged about them with Tesco insurance the second time.
