  • Hi guys, i found this car where the MOT says:
  • Offside Front Lower Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))
  • Oil leak, but not excessive (8.4.1 (a) (i))
  • front both sides shock casings corroded
  • front both sides subframe mounting side bolts, areas are corroded
  • near side and off side rear lower upper brake pipes corroded both sides
  • Nearside Front Nail in tyre ()
  • near side rear tyre has tear outer sidewall
  • rear exhaust section joint has movement no leak yet, clamp deteriorated
  • IT is this hard to repair and expensive. Thank you for your kindly answers

Depends where the oil leak is.  The rest is replaceable or weldable but I would be worried about what else is rotten as well as what the mot spotted.

Oil leaks if it is a gasket are relatively easy.  If it's a crack somewhere though that can be terminal or just so expensive it's not worth it.

More than likely £400-700 in parts to put that right plus labour depending on the rust, unless it's cheap find another one
