Toyota Lucida Estima Auto 2.2 diesel. Coolant pouring through clutch housing

Hi My names Mick and I'm new to this forum. So Hi all.

Got a problem where the coolant is pouring out through the bottom of the clutch housing. Put it in the garage and they said they were not sure as to why it is coming out through there  and if they started work may cost us a lot of money ...but they are going to research it...so I thought I would too. At the moment I cannot do the mechanics myself as am waiting for an operation and will be laid up for some time but if any of you out there could tell me where the coolant is coming from and what's happened for this to occur that would be a great help.
