PHEV.. MyT App mismatch in range and charge

Bizarrely the car says 560 or something HV range but the app says 368.

There's only about 5 miles EV range left on the car and I'm almost out of green on the analogue dash gauge but the app says 44pc Battery.

 

Both way out on the app. Puzzled.

 

Have refreshed etc. What might be the cause?

The Battery says 44% because 30% is retained by the car for the HEV and internal usage, heating etc. So the reality is you have around 14% available for the user.. Do you have a note of your average miles/Kwh.  I have mine on the MID and it's not been reset for the last 1500 miles I think and is 3.6 miles/Kwh.  That all said some of the reported numbers do sometimes appear to be not what I'd expect.  I think that the car readjusts the numbers based on the most recent trips, temperature and your current score averages.  So if  I've done a lot of local driving the numbers settle but if I then get out and open the car up the numbers change.  I can not say I've found a logic for the changes but found there is a base logic if I think hard enough about where I've been driving.

Mine tends to display a full fuel range of 500 miles and an EV full charge of 57 miles with AC on.

... which is equivalent to 275 - 280 Wh/mile and is comparable to the performance of EV's like the Kia eNiro (and many others) - which isn't bad at all and pretty much what you'd hope for from your EV bit ...

Thanks. In that case the EV level makes sense but why display a figure that includes a segregated block of the Battery for HV operation when that's not a part of the remaining range calculation?  Confusing when you see 44pc on the front page of the app when it really means 14pc accessible to the user?

 

Still don't know why the App thinks there's a 200 mile difference between fuel range though.

Couple of things.  My last trip yesterday did not show up in the MyT app but overnight it has appeared. I did try various ways to refresh the data last night but obviously it was a server delay or a communication from the car to Toyota.

Second for those who might be doing business miles or what to separate various trips into two categories there is a switch in the MyT app that can designate the trip Private/Business (previously discussed). However, if you log into the MyToyota web site via a browser and go to Driving Analytics you can download a summary of all your trips for the last three months. This can be PDF or CSV and shows Start and Finish destinations, Milage and designation.  This might be useful for tracking, accounting?

Update:  there is also a report generator in the MyT app.
