Picked up my 2.0 estate on Monday and I'm generally really pleased with it. However, I'm taking it back next week to have a couple of small bodywork niggles looked at: (a) the rear passenger door stands ever so slightly proud (only became noticeable with the car dirty) and (b) the weather seals around the rear door glass are untidy - they don't fit all the way into the corners.

I'm not worried about the door alignment, a tweak to the hinge fixings should take care of that. But the weather seals looks like a more serious defect. Has anyone else seen the same issue with their estate rear doors? Photo attached.

This shouldn't have passed Toyota's QC, but should be easily solved by replacing with new seals.

I have also untidy seal on my saloon, but not so bad as yours. I will ask my dealer to check it next time a will visit them.

To me looks like rushed manufacturing, too  busy to pay attention to details but yes qc should spot it and return for proper fix before leaving the factory. Tesla style these days everything. On a brand new car recently I had to do some final touches on interior fixtures myself, how proud I am to take part into building my girlfriends car hahah , although she said :” don’t touch you will break it “ 😂👌
