Hi after changing the wife's Yaris to a 65 plate icon, I'm not sure as to which model it is, I've included a picture of a car like her's and I've heard it called the whale mouth, is it a MK3 or MK4

MK3 which was produced between 2011 and 2020.

Or to be more precise, a MK3 facelift. IIRC it was fitted with (slightly) softer suspension and other changes like the 'scowly' face, DRLs and other stuff I can't remember.

I bought this 65 plate because it was £30 tax like her other 11 plate, I liked the front of the model before but it was £125 road tax

As above, it's a Mk3/Gen 3 facelift (2014 - Late 2017)

there are some major changes on the facelift - the interior for one

the 1.33 is £30 to tax a year

Just got it, you liked the model before the one you bought BUT that was £125 road rax.

You've got it, Yes I thought the front looked better less black grill to clean, but what I couldn't work out was only the 14 plate has LED rear lights looked nice

14 is a change over year, that is a pre facelift 2011 - 14 Yaris
