PHEV Sport Mode

Hi..... just collected new PHEV Dynamic.

Sorting bells & whistles will have to wait for now.

Very impressed with handling, drivability, & particularly reduced noise level.

Toyota have done a great job, totally different from my previous HEV.

Such smooth delivery of power to road.

Next trip propose to try the sport mode hence this query.

On a fully charged Battery does sport mode combine both electrical & ice inputs ?

Early irritation:

No memory feature on drivers seat; take that !  

£345 RFL from 2022 which should read zero based on CO2 emissions; that hurts !

Is the RFL due because the vehicle was over £40k ?

I thought RFL was more than that. I'd assumed from 2nd year it was £145 (only £10 reduction on standard) plus the £335 premium for over £40k list price. I thought the £0 was only in year 1.

@Broadway One, glad you got the car and seem already to be enjoying the grieving experience.  Once it’s run in you’ll appreciate the kick in the seat of the pants when you put your foot down. 😊 ICE + EV 0-60mph in 5.7 secs.

@Catlover, because it’s over £40k is correct. I found it frustrating as it originally was £50k and that seem more appropriate as many cars are now nudging the £40k mark.

Congrats Barry.

It's a superb drive train. Everyone that has been in the car commented how smooth and quiet it was irrespective of mode. Unless you've got you're foot down.

Need to be in HV plus Sport. But don't forget to put 600 miles on the ICE before flooring it. Can't recall mileage before hard braking. Emergency braking for me the other day. Idiot drove out from a side road without looking. Had to slam on hard. Stopped pretty quick to be honest. Surprised pleasantly.
