You can use the Dashcam 'parking' mode on the Mk4 Yaris hybrid, however it's not recommended just because it has a very under-sized 12v Battery from factory - There's already has a well-over-a-hundred-page thread about it dying prematurely with just normal standby load, and adding a Dashcam to that load just seems a bad idea.

It might be fine, esp. if you get an uprated Battery like the Yuasa one, but if I was doing it I'd get a USB batterybank that supports power-while-charging and let that run the Dashcam in standby to protect the 12v.

Power banks made by dash cams brands are very costly. Have 2 separate cams, front hardwired to non live feed and rear to usb 12v ciggie (couldn't find a long enough hardwire cable for the rear).

Haven't looked into/figure out how to attached using those cheaper standard power banks 20000+mAh for parking mode. Someone like flash may know.

Yeah they are quite pricey compared to normal power banks, but I guess it's because they are a lower sale volume item, and have to have all this extra stuff (power-while-charge - Something most power banks don't support, and all the extra passthroughs to allow the camera to switch between on and parking modes).

Don't forget the testing and designing them with extreme conditions of the car in mind. Regular Xiaomi powerbank states it's operating temperature range to be between +5°C and +35°C. Not even close to what one can measure inside the car either on winter night or hot summer day.

BlackVue Power Magic Ultra Battery B130X has the range of -10ºC to +60ºC

Thanks everyone.  Very interesting and sorry I hadn’t clocked the earlier topic being such a newbie.  I might check out the Yuasa Battery idea but a tad reluctant at the moment as being a new vehicle I certainly don’t want to give chance of a warranty refusal based on interference.
