Hi guys. I have a 2005 aygo with a very sloopy gear change. It's got 75000 on the clock. Is the case of replacing the Bush or the cables. Any advice will be greatly recieved. Thanks

I'd ask Charlie Brown (Sorry, I couldn't resist!) 😉

I ended up replacing the complete linkage/cables/gear stick from a later low mileage car. Managed to get one from the scrap yard and was a lot better than the original which was very sloppy. I was told the later cars have an improved version. I think mine was from a 2013 if I recall. Its worth making sure the connections to the gearbox are free inside the engine bay. Its quite easy to change the lot and there are no adjustments, just swap it out.

The shifter is a major wear point as well as the bushes on the cable ends
