New Map Update?

The minimum time using a USB stick might be over an hour.  If they have to download the maps as well that could be over 3 hours. 

At home your face time with computer and car will be much less. 

A dealer charge for Android Auto upgrade was £120 reduced to £50 if done with a service.  I would guess map updating would be in that order.

Thanks Philip for the information.

The update is free,as you suggested, the dealer has agreed to install it when it is serviced next week, I will see if they want to charge for that then,They installed the Android auto/Apple car play last year for £50.

There is a difference - map updates are designed to be applied by the owner - either the local country OTA or the (Western European) region via USB; the AA/ACP firmware update was designed to be done by the dealer ...

Good to know as I imagine many people don't have a computer.

A question. 

Garmin had an option for GB&I only or Western Europe.  If you selected GB&I only there was some loss on functionality.  I can't remember what as it was a long time ago. 

With Toyota do you retain full functionality?
