2012 Estima 2.4L hybrid - underseal and cambelt interval

Hi folks, this site and you all are very helpful and great for information, two more questions pls#1 just bought estima 2 weeks ago in Ireland do i really need to get the under carriage sealed ? #2 does and if yes then when does the cambelt interval have to be done ? Thanks in advance guys

2.4 engines are chain driven as are the newer 3.5.

Some owners under-seal with a view that it prevents corrosion. Some owners don’t with a view that it could inadvertently seal in corrosion, or they don’t think it’s worth doing, or that it isn’t required since the coatings of paint are thick enough to withstand UK roads anyway. Depending on your location, you’ll need to consider your own choice.

Perfect paulscarbs thanks, irish roads are not severely doused in salt so im too concerned...i just need to check if there is already corrosion or not and will make a decision then, so chains are better i wont have to worry about that now thanks very much for this
