PHEV - how long is supplied charge cable?

Hi all, picking up a new PHEV dynamic on Saturday and thinking about home charging - how long is the supplied charge cable?

I have plenty of sockets in the garage to plug it into but have a 7.5m motorhome in front of the garage so need a long lead to pass it and reach when the car can be parked!

Thanks

Chris

7.5 mtrs.  I bought one from Screwfix, Masterplug 240v mode2, 10 mtrs long.

7.5m as Ernie mentions. It was too long and bulky for me. I even sold a 10m one I had previously for 100 quid on eBay (never used it but got it with the home charger my mate put in... got it in case the wife wanted to park her car in front of mine rather than in the bay outside the house on the road... but she never did).

Now using a 5m luminous green one. Easy handling and no one has an excuse for tripping over it! But if you got a big motor home in front you got no option but to go large.

Good luck with the new motor. You'll love it.

I bought an extension charging cable for my previous PHEV for those few occasions the standard cable wasn’t long enough, easier than handling a long heavy cable especially when wet.

Make sure it is a heavy duty cable to minimise power loss over the distance.

Obviously don't know your layout @CBphev but those cables are not cheap. If you have the opportunity to install an external waterproof socket closer to where you park, that could work out cheaper and have other uses.

This is the set up I've got. Fortunately I had a 32a supply into the garage so I installed a socket on the outside wall on a dedicated 16a MCB from the garage consumer unit (so I could also switch the supply off if away from home). The hook/holster was £20 off Amazon which keeps the cable nice and tidy and convenient. The car is on the drive the other side of the gate so it's fairly well hidden from prying eyes.

thanks all for the input.  I have ordered a heavy duty extension lead for the time being till I get going (from toughleads.co.uk).  Once I have used the car for a few weeks and see how I get on with just charging at work then I can see if its worth doing something more permanent!
