NGK Ruthenium spark plugs

My first question here on this site. I have an '08 Camry SE 4cyl with 48K miles. All is well with the car except that the mpg I'm getting has gone from 31 to 26-27. I don't have a heavy foot, accelerate or brake hard, don't take corners on 2 wheels, etc. I am waiting for these new Ruthenium plugs to arrive and am hoping they will at least help with the mpg.  Knowledgeable comments anyone?

Never heard of 'em tbh....I use Denso Iridium and they've been great.

Welcome, Bill, to TOC.   Is this the first autumn you have had the car. Air temperature dropping meaning less mpg etc.

I buy Denso at the dealership. Be aware that there are fake NGK and Densos sold on eBay. If you research the subject, they will show you how to tell the difference. Iridiums are supposed to be good for 100K, I typically change them at 80K.

Keep in mind, as said above, that temperature plays a roll in mileage. My Camry hybrids have a sweet spot in temp where they get their best mileage, I'm sure non hybrids do too.
