Hi I'm just in the process of buying a 2016 rav4 2weel drive diesel. Have been waiting 2week to have a recall done on suspension . I haven't heard that for 2016 model. Has anyone had this done on 2016 rav4

Toyota provide a recall checker: https://www.toyota.co.uk/owners/vehicle-information/recall-checker

You'd need to supply the VIN or registration number of the vehicle to access all the recall information for that particular model ...

Tried that couldn't access it as vehicle isn't registered to me yet.

All you need is the registration number - and I assume you have that? Then just confirm that is the correct vehicle ...

Have the car back ,it was fitted with 2new rear trailing arms. Another problem now with heater controls. Floor vent not working window vent and demister not working .blower is working for side and face vents . Has been confirmed by Toyota 2 fault codes relating to 2 relays . Thank God its covered under warranty. Only had the car 5 weeks.

This was a post I made about my old RAV4 4.4 on the 29th October 2020"

"Just had my run-out RAV4 (4.4) serviced (2 years & 16.5k miles).

I was staggered to learn that the rear trailing arm bushes were splitting. Anyone else any knowledge of this failure?

They will be replaced under warranty but that short life is a concern".

And a reply from Toyota:

"Received reply from Samantha Betts (Specialist Case Manager) saying that there has been a specification change in the bushes since my car was produced and they do not expect this issue to recur on my vehicle.

Perhaps worth noting".

Always good to have little ammo up your sleeve (just in case it does recur).
