Picked up my Corolla 1.8 HB today - ordered back in early November. It has the latest multimedia system, but not sure about the latest go to sleep key fob. Will test it tomorrow.

All good up till now

Just picked up my Corolla 1.8 Hb today too

fuel economy is low 60’s in town but drops to high 40’s at motorway speeds (65-75 mph on speedo, gps calls it 61-71)

is something wrong?

Had 1/4 of a tank fuel( a little gift from Toyota😀) - filled the tank and managed to put only 24ish litres more. Full tank currently showing 680 miles range - quite optimistic I think,  but will be amazing if it does close to 600 miles on a tank.

The 680 mile range is worked out by the computer based on your driving style. If you continue to drive like you have been doing you should get around 680 miles. If you start doing lots of short runs in cold weather, or start thrashing it to see if it will do the quotes 0-60 times, expect to see less then 680 miles. It will depend on you and your right foot. If it’s you first Toyota hybrid then you have a learning curve on how to get the best from hybrid driving.

It's a brand new car & it needs to be run in before the fuel economy will improve.

It's also winter so fuel economy drops anyway.

If your using E10 unleaded fuel economy will be worse then E5.

I put in e10 and the dealer has put in half a tank which must’ve been Shell (judging from the myt journeys) which I presume was e10

Perfectly normal.  My 2020 1.8 is currently returning around 59 on mixed driving.  This is up 3-4 mpg from a month or so back. My dual carriage way driving has been 60-65 actual and does not affect consumption to any great degree.  At 75 indicated 70 true and really thrusting on a long drive consumption in summer was between high 40s low 50s.

Woofwoof, any evidence it is Shell?  Is it the nearest filling station?  My dealer's nearest is ESSO, then Sainsbury followed by ASDA.

I would lay bets mine does not use Shell as it is the most inconvenient.

As for half a tank, my dealer gives a full tank.

NEW CAR DAY - I'll post pictures later, not worried about MPG as we're trading in a 2.0 Rav4 so will easily be double that and my other car is a campervan.

Myt was monitoring where the dealer took it cos there’s been stories where dealers have used peoples cars for personal errands which I want a fan of

it got driven round the dealership on their internal car park to move it and taken out somewhere and filled with fuel

I checked the location on Google maps, a Shell petrol station

Well done guys for finally getting your new car. I'm looking at some distance in this autumn for the 2.0 Hb excel JBL.

Where the dealer fuel is a small thing on the bigger scheme of things, mpg will get better as the weather warm up. Enjoy your new cars!

Very generous retailer, most pass this onto customers, I know my retailer puts £20 but it's on my invoice and where I work does the same.

It will be another few months before I put the order in, so looking at autumn with 72 reg. Standard white, I'm ok with that.

How exciting for u! It's definitely different to a conventional car.

Looks good in Scarlet Flare bi tone.

Dealer needs time to pdi the car & prepare it ready for you to collect - it still has the wheel protector covers on.

March & September are the busiest times for new vehicles with the new plate changes.

I am getting 61.5 mpg (80% motorway at 65-70 mph, 20% town) actual consumption, using E5. Very happy overall 👍 The car is still new (1500 miles driven), so will see how consumption changes over time.
