Hi,
I've just got a hybrid 2018 Yaris, and the constant beeping of the sensors when in traffic is so annoying.
Is there any way to disable these proximity sensors permanently.
I can temporarily disable the beeps by pressing the P button to the left side of the steering wheel
many Thanks
Andy

There is a fix for this covered by a TSB

AC-00186T-TME

Area of Application: All Markets

Models – Model Codes: Yaris - KSP130, NCP130, NHP130, NLP130, NSP130, NSP131 ;

Introduction

This Technical Service Bulletin is to inform you of the production change and repair method for the subject concern. Applicable to vehicles which are equipped with Toyota parking aid system: PW501-0D110

Description of the phenomenon

Some customers may experience and report that the accessory parking aid system falsely detects an object when actually nothing is present around the front of the vehicle.

Production change

An updated ECU has been developed to assist in preventing this false detection.

As a 2018 car in the UK you are still in warranty (so long as mileage is less 100000 miles ) so contact your dealer an reference the bulletin.
