Is there any difference between the original xenon headlight (Avensis T25) and an aftermarket one?

I am considering to change the stock xenon headlight by an aftermarket one. The thing is that the original is 3 inches, and the aftermarket is 2.5 inches. It is from a Dutch online shop (no spam with the name).

Has anyone changed the xenon headlights? This new one has a metallic bowl, and I hope it solves the problem of poor lighting with the stock xenon.

Cool idea. I was also looking into it. I got in contact with them, and they replied that they are not doing it, but it's not a difficult job for DIY.

However... I'm not so sure about it... I don't have the confidence at the moment to do it myself.

What are your options ? Want to do the upgrade yourself?
