Mk1 Auris 1.8 hybridm Carplay upgrade, big job?

The current unit is a double din touchscreen, with NAV, and reverse cam, but the standard radio sucks, no DAB, and the maps are slow and outdated, CARPLAY would be much better. I can pull the old unit out, just fine, many connectors to the rear, i can't see the 'upload pics' option, i took several!

Has steering wheel controls too, but not bothered about those, i do however want to retain the rear parking cam (for her...)

Have taken numerous pics if required!

Any advice?

New head unit needed as the current unit isn't compatible with Android Auto/Apple Carplay.

As you typing a post, bottom right hand corner has other media, have a try there for posting photos. Try and get small image size.
