Winterrims

Hi,

I drive a rav4 plug in hybrid and i wanted winterrims, for this model toyota says it has to be special rims because of the weight, 2500 euro for the rims with Bridgestone wintertyres lm005, expensive, thinking to buy dezent rims with the same tires, 1600 euro, each rim can take the weight of 740 kg, so i  think this is the best solutions.

Somebody has experience with this?

I decided not to change to a winter rim (which I do for my wife's much smaller car) as big wheel storage is heavy work,  plus winter rims rarely look as good. I now just get the tyres changed (new Michelin Alpin last week).
