Heated Seats ?

Sorry - another daft question! I was looking at the possibility of heated seats in my '02 avensis - it seems as if there is a hefty amount of wiring going into the seats already but the place where the switch would be is an attractive coin holder! :D

Will it all be wired up apart from the switch or how much more would need to be done ? Also roughly how much would I be charged for the priviledge ?

I very much doubt that the heating elements are in the seats and to have them fitted would mean a whole new seat so your looking at quite a pretty penny.

Personally, if you wanted heated seats, you should have bought a Camry as they are a better car than the Avensis anyway and second hand don't cost anymore (we had one and I wish I had too as they are far better than my Avensis).

But either way, it won't be easy to fit them, afterall, if Toyota had gone to the effort of fitting the wiring, the elements and everything at a factory build cost of about £50 why would they leave out the £2 switch to operate them?

That was what I thought! I just wondered what all the wiring going into the seats were - I'm not bothered about heated seats really but if it was an option wouldn't have ignored it :D Thanks
