Evening All,

I saw a thread a few days ago (can’t find it now) where someone suggested you can adjust the reversing camera view to ‘widescreen’ to allow for better left/ right visibility. I’ve spent aaaaages going through the menus tonight, but cannot find any adjustment.

Has anyone managed to do this? (I’d like a wider view to aid reversing out of my in-laws driveway)

It seem it on my Prius, so would be interested to hear if it’s on a Corolla.

Reverse into the driveway and problem solved!

Only joking, I wasn't informed of any adjustments when I purchased mine, does it suggest this in the manual?

My Jazz was the same with animated guides and I miss them. Jazz also had a choice of three views: Normal, Wide and down. Down was particularly useful when reversing toward a bollard because you could see down over the rear bumper.

On my rav a button appears on the touchscreen to switch the camera to wide-screen.

But not on the Yaris.

Yaris also doesn't have the moving guidelines.

On my Focus it could also be set to look straight down which was useful.

I doubt they have different camera parts for rav or yaris so it will all just be software.

I wouldn't count on that, given that your Yaris is built in France, OTOH, it is unlikely that the camera hardware would come from anywhere but China. Current car has fixed lines, I can manage just fine with that.

The Yaris has a rear end that is either as wide or wider than the rear view mirror span, so that will make reversing into a tight spot a bit trickier. I use the mirrors as a guide, but I can see the rear wheel arches when reversing.

Thanks everyone - appears there is no adjustment, which is shame but never mind!
