Touch & Go update to working

Hello forum members,

Bought a 2014 toyota auris a few weeks back. Purchased 3 year update service and after some formatting and copying managed to start the update. Only the updating doesn't work.

1. software update found. Update? Yes!
1A.Update starts
2. I select countries
3. Click on confirm
4. Message that reset is taking place to complete update
5. Reset, nothing else happens
6. Message software update found. So it starts all over again.

The recording below shows what happens. Message "Radio will reset to complete update", sounds strange to me because nothing has been updated yet. Does anyone know if this is the message that belongs here?

I am not getting below image. Not sure if this should happen before the reset, or it should start after the reset ( i think before).

Where did you download the map from ? Did you download the correct one ?

It's the higher spec system aka touch and go Plus, High has features like voice recognition

Watched the video again before you hit update go into select countries and confirm them

78% is the amount of map you want to install and 70.5m is the time it will take to install

Hey all,

Thanks for the feedback. Some info:

• I bought the map from toyota.nl - Toyota Touch 2 with Go kaartupdate version 6.18.0H / map Q4 2020.
• My software version is 4.3.0H.
• Current map is 2014 V2.

USB stick is recognized, Had to enter activation code. Because of software version lower than 4.4.0 I can only select West or East (somebody informed me about this in other forum). I selected West. For the rest see the video.

@flash22 The zip file you attached (2.22.0H) is lower than the current one? And look slike it is meant for the yaris.

Somebody also said: updating from 4.3.0H to 6.18.0H is a big step, maybe do it in two small steps. Anybody experienced this? Or has software version 6.7.0 or bit higher?

6.18.0H is for the touch2, Toyota support for the touch was done with the Toyota toolbox what has now been discontinued as of late 2020

European maps only come as East or West

That download is the latest for the touch plus from the Toyota portal

before you hit update, you need to press the centre button "Select by country"

Hi All,

Tried 6.11.0H to install but asked to create a new activation code through dealership portal...

But browsing i found the following which comes close to my problem:

In some cases, the update will not start after the radio resets. This will occur on devices which didn’t receive an update before. Updating is still possible as followed: - Wait until the device detects the USB key again - The update will start again - It will skip the activation procedure and go directly to region/country selection - The update will function correctly the 2nd time This issue will be fixed in the next software release

But after reset and trying 2md time it still does not update ...

Are you plugging in the usb stick before or after the touch 2 boots ?

You may want to try a nav reset in the second hidden menu

Press is the circled areas Middle, Top - Middle, Top -  Middle, Top or until the menu appears

iirc press System Commands - Reset extension box

Got the update working. Other USB 2.0 stick with 16Gb instead of 32GB.
